Managed Cloud Hosting Company ServInt Announces New Servers

Reston, Virginia-based managed cloud hosting company ServInt has announced the launch of fully managed semi-dedicated servers under its "Flex TwoCore" and "Flex ThreeCore" brands. The new servers utilize Dell hardware and cater to only two customers per machine, offering the benefits of dedicated resources (such as guaranteed CPU cores) but without the costs of wholly dedicated machines.

Flex TwoCore and Flex ThreeCore servers offer differing resources at differing prices. Flex TwoCore servers are available at a starting price of $149 per month and offer 2 Intel X3440 CPU cores alongside two 2.53 GHz Hyper-Threaded cores. The servers also offer a guaranteed 2 GB of RAM (which is upgradable to 4 GB), 200 GB SATA II storage (upgradable to 400 GB), RAID 1 hardware, and a monthly bandwidth of up to 4 TB. The servers also of a free control panel and free daily backups.

Flex ThreeCore servers are available at a starting price of $189 per month and offer three Intel E5649 CPU cores alongside three 2.56 GHz Hyper-Threaded cores, a guaranteed 6 GB of RAM (which is upgradable to 8 GB) and 600 GB of Nearline SAS Storage (also upgradable to 800 GB). Like Flex TwoCore servers, Flex ThreeCore servers offer RAID 1 hardware, a free control panel and free daily backups, but also provide up to 6 TB of monthly bandwidth.

“Until now, the benefits of dedicated hardware were only available to hosting customers with the means to purchase their own server," suggested Matt Loschert, CTO of ServInt. "Flex TwoCore and ThreeCore bring those benefits to a far wider community, for far less money.”
