Extremely unhappy. My MailXChange for my team is down AGAIN. Thanks to the way they have their billing cycle, I'm in 1and1 jail for life. They are awful. Tech support had limited English speaking abilities.

Their website is great. The packages look super. The apparent value for money promising. The service awful. The tech support do more harm than good. Avoid this company unless you like bad hold music and dreadful support

Horrible Company! Avoid this company like the plague. They run billing scams and their service is bad. They are down A LOT! When you call for tech support you get people in Asia reading out of notebooks! They also charged me twice after I quit them. BAD!

Hands down the worst webhost on the planet! More than 250 of you have contacted my firm regarding fraudulent activity with 1&1, and the lawsuit is pending. Stay away from this joke of a company that hides behind it's German corporation.

Registered a domain. Canceled before renewal but the cancellation did not go through properly, was told charge would be forgiven. 3 months later I get a 27$ bill from a debt collector agency. Awful service. Use Godaddy, Netfirms, or Name Cheap.

They literally have no technical support team. They have an outsourced call center in the Philippines that has access to the same web based tools that you do, with no ability to change anything.

TWICE over my time with 1and1 I've gone into the system to change new bank card information. Both times it said it saved it, but when billing time came, it tried to charge it to my old card. The first time I contacted them, they straightened it out, I k

I've had this outfit host 2 of my websites, and I can report that uptime and email availabililty was good enough. I did cancel one of the sites, which went smoothly. However today, 08/11/09, their sites are all down, including hosted customer sites.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. All of my client's sites were hacked, they shut down sites on use while we were in the middle of moving them and deleted emails while we were moving them. A nightmare that I am considering suing them.

1&1 IS THE DEVIL The only domain registrar and web host on earth whose contract forces you to waive all your rights just to use their service! Read their TERMS & CONDITIONS for yourself. Cancel & they will steal you blind & bill your credit card forever.

I was caught in the same auto billing trap. I had to pay for another years service I didn't want plus an extra fee for the pleasure of receiving a letter from a collection a agency. Customer service is disgusting.

Run, don't walk, away! I found myself in an extrortive situation whereby I was responsible for getting my webdesigner to pay HIS ENTIRE BILL, not just the portion owing for MY website, before 1&1 would reinstate my website, even when I tried to pay!

Don't bother with this outfit - much better, much more responsive companies out there. Watch out for autobilling traps, no response to support messages, and if you do hear from them, get ready to learn nothing new about your problem. What a mistake to g

They don't publish some of the limits on their shared hosting accounts: 12 processes max, 128MB RAM total. They don't respond to complaints@1and1.com ever. When I tried to leave them, they held my domains hostage for five days.

This company cares little for its customers, management won't talk to customers, billed after the contract expired, removed domains prior to contract cancellation and had shoddy practices for testing equipment to make sure they were working properly.
